Welcome to Merrywood Elementary School! I am honored to serve as your principal and to be part of such a special school community. I believe every child deserves to feel known, valued, and encouraged, and I am passionate about creating a school where students, families, and staff feel connected and supported. I look forward to partnering with our families as we help every child learn, grow, and thrive.
Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. My husband, John, is a local pastor, and together we have two wonderful adult children, Charlie (26) and Annalise (24), along with three spoiled fur babies who keep life entertaining! I'm also a proud Clemson graduate and love cheering on the Tigers every chance I get. In addition to my Clemson degree, I have earned graduate degrees from Georgia Southern University, Piedmont University, and the University of West Georgia. I have always loved learning, and I am excited to continue learning and growing alongside the incredible students, families, and staff of the Merrywood community.
